Viola Davis is on her Diddy, can’t stop, won’t stop. Days after she announced the JuVee Production deal with Amazon Studios, her first project has been announced.
Davis will produce and star in the lead role of Shirley Chisholm, in The Fighting Shirley Chisholm.
Maggie Betts will direct the script, written by Adam Countee. Countee was reportedly eyeing the story of Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to the U.S. Congress and the first Black woman to seek the nomination for the United States President for a major political party.
